Who Was W. Kreutz in Gießen? or What's Wrong with Atmospheric Co2?
نویسنده
چکیده
From August 1939 until January 1941, W. Kreutz did systematical research to the CO2 content of the lower atmosphere for botanical/agricultural purposes, unaware of possible climate issues at that time. He makes a detailed analysis of the relation between weather factors and atmospheric CO2. The remarkable issue is that the average CO2 contents amounts to 438,5 ppmv. Moreover, there is a strong unusual spike around August 1940 which is hard to explain with anthropogenic elements. Similar aberrations have been recorded elsewhere.

Abrupt change in atmospheric CO2 during the last ice age
[1] During the last glacial period atmospheric carbon dioxide and temperature in Antarctica varied in a similar fashion on millennial time scales, but previous work indicates that these changes were gradual. In a detailed analysis of one event we now find that approximately half of the CO2 increase that occurred during the 1500-year cold period between Dansgaard-Oeschger (DO) events 8 and 9 hap...
متن کاملModeling Solubility Behavior of CO2 in [C2-mim][BF4] and [C4-mim][BF4] Ionic Liquids by sPC-SAFT Equation of State
The simplified perturbed chain statistical associating fluid theory (sPC-SAFT) Equation of State (EOS) was proposed to describe the thermodynamic properties of pure ionic liquids (ILs). A set of sPC-SAFT parameters for 2 ILs was obtained by fitting the experimental liquid densities data over a wide range of temperature at atmospheric pressure. Good agreement with experimental density data was o...
متن کاملPositive feedback of elevated CO2 on soil respiration in late autumn and winter
Soil respiration of terrestrial ecosystems, a major component in the global carbon cycle is affected by elevated atmospheric CO2 concentrations. However, seasonal differences of feedback effects of elevated CO2 have rarely been studied. At the Gießen Free-Air CO2 Enrichment (GiFACE) site, the effects of +20 % above ambient CO2 concentration have been investigated since 1998 in a temperate grass...
